If I could do one thing all the time, this would be it. I love to cut stencils, arrange them in a way that I like on a board or canvas and then figure out how to layer them with spray paint and what colors to hit them with. It's more like designing than it is painting or like creating Illustrator files by hand. Funny thing is, I actually think this is just as quick and feels more organic than clicking a mouse. Ultimately, the paint allows me to create something with texture that you can run your hands across and feel. Right now I use nothing more than my little swivel knife and generic Staples brand office paper to cut my stencils. It means I don't get a lot of life out of them, but I like the soft edges the lighter (and cheaper) paper creates. My next step is to take my work out from my not-so-ventilated basement and to start using the world as my canvas.
